What Regional Coins means in its world
Purple Regional Coins in Super Mario Odyssey are deliberately separate from the familiar gold coins. Each kingdom has its own supply, and coins found in the Metro Kingdom cannot be spent in the Sand Kingdom. That local rule gives exploration a concrete reward without turning every shop into the same inventory.
They are usually tucked into ledges, rooftops, side rooms and routes that reward a careful camera angle. The Crazy Cap shop in that kingdom is the place to spend them.
